Welcome to The Hillside !
The Hillside is our 3-acre country getaway in Cooper County, Missouri. Half of our neighbors are Amish, and they're up and down our country lane in their buggies daily. It's a great place for a peaceful retreat.
We finished The Hillside Guesthouse in 2019, and it is our primary lodging and gathering place for retreats. Additional lodging and meeting space is sometimes available in our Main House, which is right next to The Guesthouse.
The Guesthouse has three bedrooms, as well as a living room (with wood-burning stove), full kitchen, dining room, and bathroom.

Food During Your Retreat:
You are welcome to use the Guesthouse full kitchen during your retreat, for your preparation of meals or snacks, and storage of perishables in the refrigerator/freezer. All the standard appliances are present, and the kitchen is well equipped with dishes, glasses, cups, bowls, silverware, pots & pans, etc. There is also coffee, tea, salt & pepper, sugar, etc. You are responsible to provide your own food for your retreat, unless you have made different arrangements with us.
FEE STRUCTURE

For individuals or couples, there is no charge. You’re welcome to leave a contribution for our costs if you are able and desire to, but it’s not required.

We will take into account factors such as the size of your group, the length of your stay, the accommodations you use while on The Hillside, and your group’s ability to pay.

REOPENING ON MAY 19, 2024
After being closed since September 2023 while we’ve made some changes on The Hillside, we are reopening for guests, on a limited basis, on 5/19/24. And we’ll have more space for lodging and meetings. The pictures and lodging descriptions here are not yet updated, but when you contact us about booking, we’ll give you more details.
